Dawn of the planet apes
Orpheus - Caesar loses his human follower, who means alot to him. He carries on having flashbacks to his human contact which becomes more apparent over the film.
Candide - Caesar is shot half way through the film by a fellow ape (who was a close friend). This lead to war on humans and apparent death of caesar. However towards the end Caesar doesn't die and rivals the rogue turned ape to flourish and win.
